  Just tried to buy 2 men's shirts on special. Sign above said Take another 40% off. Tried look for an open cash register. Finally found one. The 40% was not applied. I queried and was told in rather certain terms that it is not believable that there is another 40% off. I convinced staff to follow me to show them the sign. Along the way had further mutterings and eye rolling. When I showed them the signed they explained that the extra 40% only applies to the rack behind the sign not the table right in front of it. I was then just dismissed. Staff misplaces sign leading to misleading advertising, effectively acusing customer of lying and when proven wrong instead of apologising and honoring their mistake they just dismissed me and turned away. Last time I set foot in any David Jones. Myer it is from now.

  I've just been reading previous comments stating lack of customer service. I have found the exact opposite! I've been to the Eastland store 3 times this week seeking Christmas presents each time I've had wonderful staff helping going out the back to make sure there was not a special size hiding. This afternoon I collected an item they had put aside for me. That's after I rang to see if the size was still available. There was no problem with the sales girl checking & then happy to keep it until I could return. Then I went to lingerie & was served by Lisa whose service & advice was exceptional. There was no pressure to buy which is often the case in other stores. I did buy & will return to see Lisa for more help early next year. I'm loving David Jones, my experiences there are far better than Myer. Well done to all the staff at Eastland

  I purchased 2 Lancôme 400ml toner online this Thursday. Click and collected at the Eastland David Jones. Then when I arrived home I found they've given me two 200ml instead of 400ml. And one of them has significantly less liquid than the other. I went back to the customer service, they told me because there is no more 400ml toner, they just put in the 200ml ones for me. Without any notice and refund!!! No wonder they make a huge fortune!!! If I didn't check the bottle, I would lost 50 in total, nice try!

  Good feeling upmarket department store. This is in the newest part of Eastland and everything is still looking good. A little expensive.
